Barbra KOM

KOM, Barbra - On November 26, 2012 following a long and courageous battle and surrounded by her family, our Barbie peacefully passed away at the home of her daughter. Barb is survived by her beloved children Jessy (Frank) and Sean (Remy); adored niece Amanda Kom and sister-in-law Nancy; father Harvey and sister Ellen. Barb is predeceased by her mother Laura and younger brother and partner in crime, Eric. She is also survived by her "extra" daughters Krystina and Laryssa. She recently became a Bubby to Maksym. Barb had an infectious personality, making friends wherever she went. She was pure of heart and the definition of kind, genuine and thoughtful. We are forever grateful to the extraordinary care she received in Toronto and Montreal. Especially Drs. MCCarvill, Hamrahi, Elser, Cohen, Lapointe and the amazing team at Toronto Grace and Spectrum Health. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of Jane subway, on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Barbra Kom Memorial Fund for Hope and Cope at the Jewish General Hospital would be appreciated. Shiva Friday, November 30th at 14 Farningham Crescent, Toronto. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca
