RODRIGUEZ-ARTETA, Blanca Alis Isabel - Peacefully, at the age of 80, Blanca passed away suddenly at her home in Ontario. Born in Iquique, Chile and raised in the Basque cities of Guernica and Bilbao she finished her post secondary education and relocated to London, England. There she worked for St. Thomas Hospital, and later with Fullers, managing their restaurants throughout the Soho District. Having met the love of her life there, Hipolito Rodriguez, "Mi Vida", in England, Blanca later followed her heart to Argentina. Her family benefited from her altruism, tenacity, kindness and commanding voice to provide them a life full of potential in Canada. For that they are eternally grateful. Predeceased by her husband Hipolito and daughters Elizabeth and Adriana, she leaves behind her strong legacy and friends throughout the world. Blanca will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Alexandra (husband Martin), her sons Ricardo and Fernando, and her grandchildren: Nanako, Masumi, Madeline and Spencer. Siempre con mucho cariño y disfrutando aprendiendo del mundo, desesos ahora que descanses en paz. A private family service was held on November 20, 2012. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Elizabeth Adamo Bursary Fund at the Brandon University Foundation, 270-18th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 6A9, 204-727-7374.
