CARMINE AMATO September 18, 1926 - June 30, 2013 On Sunday, June 30, 2013, Carmine ascended to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Vincenzina, who proceeded him in 2008. He wilI be dearly missed by his children Maria (John Cardinale), Frank (Rose), Louise (Rob Bois) and John (Marion). Dear grandfather to Bernadette, Carmen (Malia), James, Christopher, Francesco (Maja), Shane, Brandon, Daniel, Bobby, Rachel, John, Luke and beloved great-grandfather to Joseph, Isabella, Francesco and Maximus. He will be held dear in the hearts of many family and friends and always be remembered for his sense of humour and friendliness. Carmine was born in the Province of Cosenza, Calabria, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1954 and with his wife at his side raised his four children in Toronto and later settling in Scarborough. In his later years, Carmine was cared for at Seven Oaks Home for The Aged, under the care of Dr. Hoffman and the staff of the 1st floor unit and also by Nida Obtinario, before peacefully passing away. We would like to express our sincere thanks to them all for the care, kindness and support they have given to our father and to us through the years. (west of Warden Ave.), 416-773-0933, on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. and on Thursday, July 4, 2013 from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. Funeral Service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to take place at Highland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or to the Seven Oaks Home for the Aged.
