NICHOLS, Clarence Anthony - God gained an amazing angel, Clarence Anthony Nichols, on July 30, 2013 after a courageous and prolonged 3 year battle with Bile Duct cancer at age 70. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, friend and respected colleague and will be dearly missed. He was born on October 4, 1942 and travelled from Guyana, to study in California and Oregon and became a Civil Structural Engineering Consultant with Hatch for 40+ years. Clarence served on many committees both with his beloved church, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish and in the Mississauga community. He was a wonderful teacher, mentor and coach and his diligence will be remembered by many who he has left his positive and perseverance stamp on. Full of zest and life, Clarence was always positive and found the good in a situation. He challenged many to strive for excellence and was an amazing problem solver and supporter! Clarence and his wife, Audrey Knight Nichols, who survives him, had been together since they were teenagers. They were married July 20, 1968. He is also survived by his son, Anthony and wife Alyson; his daughter Lorraine and husband Troy and their 3 children. He had paved the way for many relatives to immigrate to this beautiful country and will be remembered for helping them have a better quality of life. He received world class care at Sunnybrook Hospital's Odette Cancer Centre. We are incredibly grateful to his care team.
