Eldon Bliss SCOTT

SCOTT, Eldon Bliss - December 17, 1947 - December 30, 2012 "Scotty" passed away quietly at the Georgetown Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Edna, his brother Herbert and by his sister Ila. Survived by the love of his life Sally, his brother Roy of Haliburton, his sister Barb of Oakville and Sally's family: Heather Moran, Brenda (Martin) Paterson, Terri-Lee Turriff, Robin Parker (James Brody), Cory (Mitzi) Turriff, Bruce Turriff, 3 nephews, 2 nieces, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. After retirement in 1996 from Northern Telecom, Eldon and Sally moved to their retirement home in Minden, Ontario to enjoy life in the Haliburton Highlands. He built by hand a log cabin, made maple syrup and enjoyed the four seasons in the Haliburton Highlands. When cancer came knocking, they moved to Georgetown to be closer to his treatments and to his many friends he made through his 30 plus years with the Tachman Car Club. He also enjoyed driving his old Thunderbird at as many cruise nights as he could find. The family would like to thank the many doctors and specialists at the hospitals in Brampton and Georgetown. They would also like to thank the many drivers and volunteers from the Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills in Georgetown. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown, 905-877-3631, on Saturday, January 5, 2012 from 10-11 a.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11 a.m. Spring interment at Coningsby Cemetery, Hillsburgh.
