Ernest Elmer "Ernie" Brooker

ERNEST ELMER "ERNIE" BROOKER (Born February 2, 1924) Passed peacefully on February 18, 2012 at about 12:30 p.m. He will be joining his beautiful wife Elizabeth Jane Brooker (Betty), nee Wood, who passed 27 years ago. He is survived by Son, Scott Brooker (Daughter-in-law, Patricia South); Daughter, Elisa Jane Brooker; Granddaughters, Taunya Brooker and Indigo Brooker. He will be missed most dearly by Friends, notably Russ and Doris Hugill; Ralph Lake and family including nephew Bert Brooker. He will also be in the hearts of the many Brookers, Woods, Souths, Burkes and many other family friends. Ernie will be remembered most as a gentleman, a loving husband, a good father and grandfather, with a willingness to help others. Always ready with a good joke and intelligent conversation. At his best, an under bogey golfer, as comfortable out of the sand, as on the short grass. A forward thinking business man, he led the way in no medical, life insurance in Canada. Special thanks to the Staff and residents of The Village of Sandalwood Park. As he said of many things, which seemed huge at the time, of this "...It's Nothing in a Big World". A Memorial will be held at Scott'sF uneral Home at 289 Main St. N., Brampton, from 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Family to share thoughts at 12 noon with memorial reception to follow.
