Francesco PUCHIELE

PUCHIELE, Francesco - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Francesco Puchiele. He was surrounded by his loving family, wife, children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces as he peacefully passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Mackenzie Health Centre at the age of 89. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Beloved husband of wife Nancy. Loving father of Teresa (and husband Mario), John (and wife Rose). Loving grandfather (nonno) of Adrian, Daniel, Gabriel, Luisa and Francesca and loving brother of Maria Rosa. His talents were many as he learned how to craft with wood, creating guitars, mandolins, fine furniture and later become a master cabinet maker. His great hidden talent was that he was an exceptional trumpet player throughout his life, making any operatic music sing with his wonderful tone and emotive performances. His life had hardships when in World War II he fought against the Nazi Regime where he was part of the Ski Patrol in Albania scouting out the enemy. He was later imprisoned in a labour concentration camp for 3 years and lived to tell the tale. He and his life will never be forgotten and his legacy of honesty, honour and goodness will prevail.
