GORDON JAMES SIMPSON

GORDON JAMES SIMPSON December 8, 1959 - July 22, 2013 A man of original mind and passionate preferences, widely read and inveterate fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Gord died suddenly and far too young from a recurrence of lymphatic cancer. Loyal and generous, he was an inspiration to a generation of nieces and nephews who knew his interest in them was profoundly sincere and enduring. Like his father and grandfather before him, Gord did not suffer fools gladly and could on occasion be a little persnickety, but for a' that was easy to love and deeply respected. His friends, family and fellow workers all knew him to be a stand-up guy whose word was his bond. Beloved brother to Dugg, Rob, Ron and Charlie, son to Charles and Beverly and lifelong companion to his dog Joe, Gord was predeceased by his sister Carol-Anne. He was absolutely unforgettable and we will miss him forever. Services to be held at St. Hilary's Anglican Church, 2055 Hurontario St., Mississauga, (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW). Thursday, July 25th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bracebridge SPCA.
