Ina Jean (Thomasina) LOWE

LOWE, Ina (Thomasina) Jean (nee Munsie) - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ina Lowe in her 97th year at Forest Heights Long Term Care, Kitchener on the morning of December 5, 2012. A former resident in Toronto, Lake Dalrymple and recently in Kitchener, she was the beloved wife of 52 years of William (Bill) Lowe who passed away on June 24, 1993. Beloved mother to Donald Ross, his wife Wendy and Kevin Douglas Lowe. She will be missed by her two grandchildren Brian William Richard and Heather Michelle Lowe. Ina was our pillar of hope and determination. She lost her lower left leg at the age of 85 and learned how to care for and walk with a prosthetic leg until her 93rd year. She never gave up no matter how hard the struggle was and never asked for pity - just honest support. She taught us the value of family and the honour and rewards that it brought. We will miss her but will gain strength in the values that she taught us. Friends will be received at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Visitation Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Rd., Toronto (east gate entrance, north of St. Clair Ave., 416-485-5572) on Sunday, December 9th from 2-5 p.m. A service to commemorate Ina's life will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 11 a.m., with a reception following in the Visitation Centre. Interment at St. John's Cemetery, Norway at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. For online condolences, please go to www.etouch.ca
