JAMES GEORGE "JIM" ROBINSON

JAMES (JIM) GEORGE ROBINSON Suddenly yet peacefully passed away in his 66th year on March 1, 2014. Beloved husband of 45 years to Wendy. Cherished father and role model to Christopher, Philip, David (Emily) and Matthew (Janina). Adoring Grandpa to Theo. Loving and supportive brother to Ruth and the late Nancy Anne (Gibson). After graduating from the University of Guelph, Jim had a diverse and successful management career. He began in the dairy sciences, progressed to printing and ended his career in the publishing business wit h Harlequin Enterprises. Jim always balanced work with family and spending time with his boys evolved into over 25 years of volunteering with youth sports. Jim was just starting to enjoy his transition into retirement with Wendy after building their dream home on Lake Couchiching. Puttering around the property was his idea of a good day. With retirement he also had more time to improve his golf game and focus on many woodworking projects. Jim's positive outlook, humour, love and commitment to family will leave a strong everlasting memory with all who knew him. The family would like to thank the team in the intensive care unit at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie for their professionalism and support for Jim's care and comfort during his last days. Family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E. (east of Kennedy Rd.), Agincourt, on Thursday, March 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial Service will be held in the Ogden Chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Victoria Hospital (www.rvh.on.ca) or the Minor Hockey Foundation Ontario (www.hockeyfoundation.ca).
