John Andrew "Jack" REGAN

REGAN, John "Jack" Andrew - 1923 - 2012 Father, husband, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away in his 89th year on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Westgate Lodge in Belleville. Jack was predeceased by his wife of 59 years Jane Kinney Regan and his brother William Edward Regan. Jack was father to Donna (Doug) Evans, Anne (Greg) Tucker, Julie (Chic) Gilmore, John (Barb) Regan, Maureen (Skip) Gardner, Michael (Naomi) Regan, Tim (Jenn) Regan. Known as "Papa" Jack he was the grandfather of Jeffrey, Matthew, Regan, Jennifer, Allison, John, Barbie, Marc, Meaghan, Scott, Wendy, Laura, William, Patrick, Catherine, Brian, Connor, Shannon, Sarah, Grace and Faith. Great- grandfather of Avery, Jessica, John-Patrick, Jacob, Joey, Regan, Cole, Camden, Mason, Sullivan, Willa, Reeve, Weston, Cole and Brooklyn. Born and raised in Toronto Jack had a long and interesting life. He attended De La Salle College "Oaklands" where he was a past president of the alumni association he later went to The University of Toronto where he became a member of the Zeta Psi Fraternity. Like others of his generation he served his country during WWII in the RCAF (1942-45). Following the war Jack started his career in business eventually winding up as President of Regan and Horkins Ltd. Jack was always active whether it was golfing at Bayview Country Club, singing for the Thornhill Barbershop Quartet, playing competitive bridge or being involved in his community and church by coaching minor league sports and helping others through his involvement with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. These are only a few of the many things that Jack was involved in through the years. A special thank you goes out to the amazing staff at Westgate Lodge who provided him with comfort in his final days. Jack will forever live on through his loving family. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel, 296 Church St. Belleville, ON.
