SURGINOR, John Lewis - March 31, 1928 to November 4, 2013 John died suddenly in Thorncliffe Park Drive, his home of the last 50 years. John was born in Scotland and like many others, immigrated to Canada seeking a better life after WWII. A career in the insurance industry was balanced by a parallel life as a musician. Jazz pianist, music arranger, piano tuner, ardent student of Oscar Peterson, John was the "Piano Man". Godfather to the Gray kids, Pat, Paul and Richard. A service celebrating his life will be held at Aftercare Toronto, 1097 O'Connor Drive, Toronto, Ontario at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
