JOSEPH HENRY CORBEIL

JOSEPH HENRY CORBEIL March 1, 1933 - July 3, 2013 With great sadness we announce the passing of Henry Corbeil, loving husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend to so many. Henry passed away peacefully on July 3, 2013 at the Scarborough Hospital in Scarborough, ON with his wife and close friend by his side. Henry is survived by his loving and devoted wife Viola (Vi), his son David and two daughters Michelle, Emme (Paul), stepdaughter Kathy (Joe), his sisters Lillian (Emerson) and Collette and predeceased by his father Armand (Sadie) and stepson Gary. Henry was a longtime employee of the TTC. Henry was a proud Veteran RCR and served for Canada in Korea. Henry and Vi had a terrific circle of friends, enjoying visiting, playing chess, watching sports and travelling. Henry and Vi also inherited the title of "Canadian Dad and Mom" as they hosted many young German technicians who visited Canada on business over the years. Henry was a calm and generous gentleman who was always willing to "get to work" with a warm smile. His strength of character was an inspiration and it never wavered. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. Our family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at the Scarborough Hospital palliative care for their quality care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Henry's memory may be made to: Oncology Clinic, The Scarborough Hospital, 3050 Lawrence Ave. E., Scarborough, Ontario M1P 2V5.
