JUNE WINSOME BYGRAVE Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on December 11, 2012 at the age of 61 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by sister Jacynthia (1953), mother Daisy (1969) and father Livingstone (2006). June will be dearly missed by son Ron; grandchildren Samantha (Patrick) of Montreal, Tatyana, Trinity, Naomi, RJ and great-granddaughter Jayda. She is survived by her sisters Jean (Eddie), May, Carol (Edly); brother Bernard (Winnel) and step-mother Ann; nieces and nephews Patrick (Isis), Cecelia (Maarten), Jackie (Horace), Ray, Iodelle, Daisy, Thomas, Althea, Judeen, Cameal, Denica (Steve) and Monique and many other family members in Florida, Jamaica and England. Also mourning her passing are her many cherished lifelong and close friends, especially Gracie from Florida, Lester and Lesline who will surely miss their daily telephone calls and the Stirlings from Jamaica. June was born in St. Ann, Jamaica on June 15, 1951, the fourth of six children. June excelled at school and chose a teaching career after college. After many years as a teacher she decided to change professions and pursued a career in accounting. After immigrating to Canada in 1990, she went to work in the financing department of Global Benefits where she enjoyed a 22 year career cut short by her illness. The family is especially grateful for the staunch support she received from Global Benefits and from her colleagues during this time. Family and friends will be received at The MCDougall & Brown Funeral Home "Scarborough Chapel", 2900 Kingston Rd. (Just East of St. Clair Ave. East) on Friday, December 21st from 4-8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church (10 Washburn Way) on Saturday, December 22nd at 10 a.m. Burial at Pine Hills Cemetery. www.mcdbrownscarb.ca
