Kathleen Doris RATTRAY

RATTRAY, Kathleen Doris - With great sadness we announce the death of Doris on Saturday, February 1, 2014 in Richmond Hill at the age of 97. Dear wife of the late Doug (2006). Much loved and loving mother of Lin and her husband Bob Clunie. Doris was born and brought up in Trois- Rivières, Québec, the youngest child of Inez and Joseph Smith and sister to Elva and Alan. Born during World War I, Doris witnessed and participated in tremendous change during the past century. At various times, she lived in Montreal, Shawinigan, Toronto and Stoke Poges (England) and spent happy summers as a young girl on Amherst Island with her grandparents. Doris will forever be remembered as a sensitive and gentle soul who valued and practised loyalty and generosity. We are grateful beyond words for the kind and considerate care given to my mother by all of the staff of Sunrise of Richmond Hill and thank Dr. S. Ameen for her compassionate care and warm concern over the past few months. We also send a heartfelt thank you to Rev. Canon David Clunie. Private family services entrusted to Marshall Funeral Home, Richmond Hill, with interment at Elgin Mills Cemetery. If desired, donations in Doris' memory may be made to the Salvation Army, 55 Newkirk Road, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 3G4.
