Lorne Arden Lewis Armstrong

LORNE ARDEN LEWIS ARMSTRONG After a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), Lorne passed away at the Brampton Civic Hospital with his family by his side on Friday, August 19, 2011 at the age of 66. Son of the late Annie and George. Loving husband of Joanne for 39 years. Precious son-in-law of Ruth Evans. Devoted Dad of son JJ, his wife Brenda, daughter Krystal and her husband Brian. Cherished Poppa of Aaron. Dearly missed by sister Helen, her husband John and brothers Edgar, his wife Karen, Darwin, his wife Linda and Dale. Beloved uncle of nephews Bart, his wife Bev, Bret, his wife Joanne, Jason, his wife Wendy, Curt, Michael, his wife Jennifer, David, his wife Leslie, Nathan, Mark, his wife Jennifer and nieces Stacey, her husband Richard, Kelly, her husband David, Deborah, her husband Todd and Eddy. Lorne will be missed by many other extended family, close friends and all who knew him. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. J.W. Moody for his continuous support over the years, as well as Dr. Pandya and the nurses in the ICU at the Brampton Civic Hospital. Although his passing brings much sorrow, it has strengthened our love of family and each other. You may have departed this life, but you will be in our minds and hearts forever. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Scott Funeral Home, 289 Main St. N., Brampton (905-451-1100) from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 25, at 2 p.m. in the Scott Funeral Home Chapel.
