Margot (Ledson) BROWN

BROWN, Margot (nee Ledson) - January 10, 1935 - February 21, 2013 Passed away after a short but difficult struggle with pulmonary fibrosis at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay. Beloved wife, for 58 years, of Bob Brown. Dear mother of Norma and Jim Poel of Thamesford and Tia Brown of Dunsford. Predeceased by infant twin sons Kevin and Robert and her parents George and Billie Ledson. Grandmother of Adam Poel (Leea), Laura and Matt Langford, Allison and Matt Peters, Brian Poel (Jacqueline), Owen Poel (Chris), Shayna Coaker (Brent) and Desta Coaker. Great-grandma of Harry and Peter Langford and Charlie and Annika Peters. Sister of George and Bonnie Ledson of Caledon and Malcolm and Pat Ledson of Perth, predeceased by her sister Doreen Bracken and brother-in law Doug Bracken. Sister-in-law of Roy and Lillian Brown, Dunsford. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Margot was secretary of the Bobcaygeon Fair for 33 years, an active member of the Women's Institute and the first female councilor of Verulam Township. Her passion was horses and fairs, but her grandchildren and great- grandchildren were her pride and joy. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay, on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place in the Mackey Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 25th at 11 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Margot are asked to consider the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the Bobcaygeon Agricultural Society.
