God called Maria Rosa on Monday, February 25, 2013 in the early morning to find the peace she so deserved and to no longer be in pain. She was born in Carpino, Foggia, Italy on December 5, 1934. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 50 years, Angelo and her loving sons Antonio and Matteo. She will be held dear in the hearts of her many family and friends, both here and in Italy. Maria Rosa will always be remembered as the most devoted, generous and hard working woman to those whose lives she touched. Waiting for her in heaven are her parents Matteo and Angelina Sacco, together with her brother, Angelo and sister Nunzia Sacco. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died, a heart of gold stopped beating, two tired eyes close to rest, God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best. Visitation will be held at the Bernardo Funeral Homes (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave.) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Dunstan Church (3150 Danforth Ave., west of Victoria Park Ave.) on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum (4570 Yonge St., south of Sheppard Ave.).
