MAURICE CYRIL FOSTER

MAURICE CYRIL FOSTER, LL.B. On March 25, 2013, cherished husband, father and grandfather, Maurice Cyril Foster, passed away peacefully at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bunnie, his children Don (Whitney) and Kathy (Richard), his grandchildren, Michael, Leanne, Matthew, Clayton, Evan, Sydney, Jesse, Adam and Christine, and his sister, Evelyn (Harvey) Kilner. Maurie also leaves behind many loved nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. Born in Barrie on August 22, 1923, Maurie graduated with a B.A. from University of Toronto in 1946, graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1949 with an LL.B, and was admitted to the bar. He practised law for 45 years, starting his own practice in Streetsville where he remained for 35 years. He was a proud and dedicated charter member of the Rotary Club of Streetsville. Maurie was also a two-time recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship and a past Rotary Club President. He leaves behind many good friends in his fellow Rotarians. The family would like to express their gratitude to the 7th Floor Cardiac team and the Pallilative Care Unit at St. Michael's Hospital, to Dr. Mark Fisher, Beata, and Connie (St. Joseph's) and Dr. Gordon W. Moe and Haytham Sharar (St. Michael's), and to good friends Peter Westbrook and Ursula Beyer. At his request, arrangements have been entrusted to Lee Funeral Home in Streetsville with no visitation (please visit leefuneralhome.net and the Book of Memories). Cremation has already taken place, and a private family service will follow at a later date. In lieu of gifts or flowers, memorial donations to the Rotary Club of Streetsville, PO Box 450, Mississauga, ON L5M 2B9, would be appreciated.
