JARDINE, Miriam Dawn Sylvia - Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston, on Thursday, November 8, 2012 in her 85th year. Predeceased by ex-husband, William Jardine. Beloved mother of Kevin and his wife Cindy-lou, Jennifer and her husband Nolly Kramer, Jeffrey and his wife Nishika Jardine and Carolyn and her late husband Ian Woods. Proud Grandmother of James Adam, Ron Alan, Amanda, Scott and Michael. Survived by her sister Elaine Henderson and brother Bradley Cole and his wife, Donna. Daughter of the late Edgar and Lily Cole. Miriam was born on May 28, 1927. A longtime resident of the Toronto area and of late, a 20 year resident of York Region. Miriam began her professional career with the Board of Educations a school Secretary. She loved her time at the school but after marrying, she dedicated her time and energy caring for four children and her aging mother. She resumed her career as an administrative assistant with a Toronto architectural firm in her late 50s. She had a passion for painting, flowers and spending time with family and friends. She was very active in local church groups and enjoyed her time prompting the Gilbert and Sullivan productions for the St. Timothy's Players when she resided in North York. Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 2 - 4 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Monday November 19, 2012 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception.
