Reginald WESSON

WESSON, Reginald - Reginald "Reg" John Wesson, aged 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, surrounded by his family. Reg was preceded into death by his first love and wife of 43 years, Betty Wesson (née Eddy). He will be tremendously missed by his children Susan, Jen and Greg Wesson; his darling kochana, Joanne Peterson; his grandchildren Maggie, Becca and Ben Howes; Ted and Gareth Poole; and honorary grandchildren Anna and Rylee Peterson. Predeceased by his brothers Edwin and Neville Wesson, of whom he thought the world. Reg's family wishes to thank Parkview Nursing Centre and St. Joseph's Hospital for their gentle and attentive care. Reg loved interacting with people, always making new circles of friends while keeping in touch with his old friends - whether from his childhood in Mount Dennis, his schools at Bala Avenue and York Memorial Collegiate, his work at the CIBC and in the Ontario health care system, the Canadian Racing Drivers' Association, the Oakville Trafalgar Light Car Club, the Burlington Sailing and Boating Club, the PostCards or the Village Squares. Reg was ever curious, always challenging himself to learn new things, even studying Polish and Italian in his last years. Reg's life will be celebrated at a reception at Spencer's Landing, 442 Maple Avenue, Burlington, Ontario, on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to come, raise a glass and share stories and memories of Reg. There will be tributes in readings, stories and song starting at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to The Carpenter Hospice or the Joseph Brant Wellness House, both in Burlington. "To love another person is to see the face of God."
