Ronald Allan TENNANT

TENNANT, Ronald Allan - On March 19, 2013, Ron peacefully entered into eternal rest after a 37 year valiant cancer struggle with his beloved wife Elizabeth (nee Kilty) at his side. Born April 3, 1935 in Orillia to the late Gordon and Marjorie with siblings Helen (John) Wood, Gordon (Janis) Tennant, Muriel (George) Sheard and the late Joan, Bud and Shirley. Ron was surrounded by a large devoted family and many loving nieces and nephews. He inspired many with his strong positive attitude and always with hope of a cure. He was Past-President of Newmarket Legion and member for 50 years; 20 years at Tenatronics and 28 years at Acadian Platers. Ron served with the United Nations in the Gaza Strip and was also a dedicated volunteer, gardening at Credit Valley Hospital. The visitation will be held at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel & Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line (Dundas/403) in Oakville, on Monday, March 25th from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 26th at Trinity Anglican Church, 69 Queen Street South, Streetsville at 2 p.m. with reception to follow. A private graveside service will be held in Clinton, Ontario at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Credit Valley Hospital, Carlo Fidani Centre would be appreciated.
