Rozalia LORENC

LORENC, Rozalia - Born October 25, 1920 in Antos, Poland, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2014. Rozalia was taken to the Siberian Gulag in February of 1940 and fled to Soviet Central Asia upon amnesty. A true survivor, she joined the Polish Navy in London, England. Having arrived in Toronto after World War II, she met her beloved husband the late Konstanty Lorenc. Loved by her daughters, Barbara Chamczuk and Isabella "Ziggy" Lorenc. Cherished by granddaughters Andrea Chamczuk, Tamara Tymkewycz (Markian Tymkewycz), her grandson Nikolai Chamczuk, (Brooke Ramsey). Never to be forgotten by great-grandchildren Lilienne and Lysette Tymkewycz. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. (between Islington and Kipling), on Friday from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 3055 Bloor St. W. (west of Royal York Rd.). Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. True to her name, Rozalia loved flowers. However, donations can be made to The Canadian Celiac Association.
