Scott STEVENSON

STEVENSON, Scott WA - Born December 27, 1947 in Montreal, QC. Departed from us all too suddenly at the age of 65 on December 28, 2012. In our deepest grief and through the haze of confusion, we find strength in our family and friends, who have come through this difficult time together. He lived in the moment. Smiled broad. Loved large. Let us make peace with the past and embrace a future that we know he would be proud to see. Scott ("Scotty" to some) loved his children, Robyn and James so greatly. They miss him intensely, along with their partners, Adam and Lidia and his trusted friend John. But his love was especially full for his two grandchildren, Adam and Anthony, who will surely miss their Grandpa's hugs and kisses and jovial temperament. Predeceased by parents William ("Bill") and Jean, and his uncle Robert ("Bob") Stevenson. Scott is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sisters Lee, Susan (Garry) and Audrey (Dave); their children and grandchildren. We hope you will be able to share your memories in time, to make happiness once again. Scott is survived by his wife Monika (nee Siedel) and former wife Carole (nee Kooren). Two very strong women who loved him for his kindness and humour and the awkward fumblings we all jokingly refer to as "The Stevenson Syndrome". He selflessly took in his friends Alex and Ava to give them a new start in Canada with their young daughter. Lastly, may we not forget his overwhelming love and compassion for all creatures, great and small. He opened his heart and home endlessly to so many family pets and rescued critters through the years. In remembering all those living and lovingly cherished, we will recall the soft voice and warm cuddles that showed us the gentle, funny, kind and unforgettable man he was. He was a masterful mechanic (our very own Tim Allen). An outstanding green thumb in the garden. A fan of a good pun. We will miss him so much. In honour of his memory, you may wish to contribute a donation in his name to Ontario SPCA (ontariospca.ca/ways-to-give.html) or CAMH (www.camh.ca).
