SOPHIE SMITH Our beautiful, bright, talented, caring and hilarious Sophie has left our world this past weekend. Just eighteen years old, she had a determination and spirit that made an indelible mark in the lives of family, friends and all who knew her. A songwriter, scholar, great athlete, leader, entrepreneur who launched Sophie's Smoothies and above all the greatest friend in the world; Sophie's wish is that we do not grieve her passing but celebrate her life. Sophie's intellect combined with her warm sensitivity connected her with people in the most meaningful and enriching way. She spread so much love around the bonfire and living room playing guitar and singing songs she wrote as she did for every occasion for every friend she ever had. Inspired by her rich life experiences Sophie's aim was to be a Waldorf teacher, doctor, writer and singer/songwriter. She loved the outdoors, Camp Tawingo, Lake Kawagama, any opportunity to learn and seek adventure and to entertain and share with her many friends. She will continue to live on in all of us and will forever inspire and warm the hearts of her loving parents Cathie and Mark, brothers Jordan, Geoff and Luke, Grandpa "Big Mike", Grandma Olga Smith, best friend Jacquie and a huge Lavelle and Smith family and network of friends. Sophie has journeyed into the arms of Nana Fran Lavelle. Our angel will be forever cherished. In Sophie's words "let's not grieve; let's celebrate".
