TAMRA MCGOVERN-CABRAL 42, on January 23, 2013 passed with her family by her side and surrounded by love. Tamra was born in Toronto on July 25, 1970, the daughter of Shirley and the late William (Bill) MCGovern. She graduated from Silverthorn Collegiate Institute, 1989, Etobicoke; University of Toronto, Honours Bachelor of Arts, Major in Sociology specialized in Criminology, 1994; Humber College, Diploma with Honours, Law and Security Administration, 1995. In 1996, Tamra started her Loss Prevention Career with Eaton's Department Store in Toronto. She moved on as a Loss Prevention Investigator with CIBC, Card Division 1999 - 2001. On October 27, 1999 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Billy Cabral, in Nassau, Bahamas. At the time of her courageous battle with cancer, she was employed as a Regional Loss Prevention Manager with National Money Mart Canada. Tamra was an incredible person whose great joy in life was her children, Cole and Brooklin. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping trips with her mother and experiencing life with her husband, family and friends. She enjoyed travelling with Billy and the kids experiencing Disney on both land and sea. She volunteered her time with Hawthorne Village School (Milton) and True North Church Youth Ministry. She is survived by her husband Billy Cabral; two children Cole and Brooklin; her mother Shirley; two brothers Lance and Darrin; mother-in-law Maria; father- in-law Abilio Sr.; sisters-in-law Lidia, Margaret and Samantha; nephews Wes, Carter and Corey; her best friend Sue. The Cabral and MCGovern families invite all those who knew and loved Tamra to join us in Celebration of her Life this Friday, February 1, 2013, 12:00 p.m. at Islington United Church, 25 Burnhamthorpe Road, Etobicoke, Ontario M9A 1G9, 416-239-1131.
