VASILIOS (BILL) LOVATSIS It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Vasilios Lovatsis announces his passing after a long illness on July 17, 2014 with his family by his side. He leaves behind his devoted and beloved wife Vasiliki (Tsatsos), married for 57 years and together for over 60 years. Devoted and loving father to John and daughter-in-law Ann Marie, daughter Toula and son-in-law Bill Yiouroukis. Cherished Papou to Stephanie, Victoria and William. He will be missed by his sister Milka Unitas, dear brother-in-law to John and Diane Tsatsos. Predeceased by his parents loannis and Theodora Lovatsis, beloved mother-in-law Olympia Tsatsos, brother Traikos Lovatsis, Eleni and Dimitri Osenaris and Gord Unitas. Will be forever missed by all of his nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Vasilios was born on August 15, 1932 in Kranonia, Kastoria - Greece and immigrated to Canada in 1957. Family and friends will be received at the Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Ave. East (west of Warden Ave.), 416-773-0933, on Saturday, July 19th and Sunday, July 20th from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st at 10:30 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Thorncliffe Park Dr. Interment will follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
