Wallace P. CANIVET

CANIVET, Wallace P. - Passed away at age 89, on Friday, February 8, 2013, in Markdale, Ontario. Beloved husband of 65 years to Betty, Wally will be dearly missed by their children: Douglas (Irene) of California, Deborah (Richard) of Nova Scotia, Brad (Anne) of Etobicoke, Cynthia (Dean) of Russell; his eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as by his brother Denis, of Mount Hope, his children, and those of his sister Edna (Webster), who predeceased him. A serial entrepreneur and pioneer of the Self-Serve Storage industry in Canada, over the years, Wally had been an active member of the RCAF Veterans Association, ASHRAE, SWAC (Spec Writers), BEMC (the car club behind Mosport Park), the Woodbridge Agricultural Society, and Rotary (past president, Woodbridge). Heartfelt appreciation is extended to Dr. Harvey Winfield and the dedicated staff at Grey Bruce Health Services - Markdale and Grey Gables Nursing Home. Also numerous community care and personal support workers, for their years of kind and attentive help, during his residency in the area. A private memorial service will be arranged at a later late.
