Winifred Mary PELLEY

PELLEY, Winifred Mary (nee Griffiths) - Nan, known to many as "Win" was a gracious woman with a fantastic sense of humour. She was an employee of Royal Trust at Humbertown Plaza for over 30 years and lived most of her Canadian life in the Kingsway area, after emigrating from Portsmouth, England. She could be seen regularly enjoying walks in James Gardens and cottaged for many years in the Haliburton area. Nan passed away peacefully in Barrie on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the age of 100. Predeceased by her husbands Leslie Hutchings and Ronald Pelley, and her son Trevor Hutchings, a well known Canadian cartoonist. Survived by Ronald's son, Brian Pelley, cherished Nan to Sue Kay, Robin Ashworth and the late Liz Hopps. Great- grandmother of Martha Forbes, Christopher Hopps, Hilary Hopps, Hayley Kay, Duncan Kay and Gabriel Ashworth. The family wishes to acknowledge the amazing staff at Woods Park Care Centre in Barrie. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 12 noon at St. George's On-The- Hill Anglican Church Cemetery, 4600 Dundas St. West, Etobicoke. Arrangements entrusted to Turner & Porter Butler Chapel. For those that wish, donations to the would be greatly appreciated.
