Iola Bradley Obituary

BRADLEY, Iola Marjorie (nee Robbins) - Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2009 at the Dufferin Oaks Nursing Home, Shelburne in her 91st year; beloved wife of the late Arthur Gordon Bradley (1986); left to mourn are her children Gordon (Elva) of Alton, Pearl Oakes of Mount Forest, Millie Shkolnik (Hartley) of Markham, Fred (Val) of Fergus, Joan Thompson (Roy) of Pike Lake, Neil (Amy) of Mount Forest; loving grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 4 step- grandchildren; great-grandmother of 28 and great-step-grandmother of 11, great-great-step-grandmother of 1; loved sister of Bruce (Ruby- deceased); predeceased by her granddaughter Trudy, great- grandson Tyler and her sisters Hazel Hogg (Vic Hogg, Dick Kennedy), Helen Nichols (Charlie), Rita Kirkham (Cecil), Doris Fleming (Elgin), her brothers Joe Robbins (Alice) and Austin (Dorothy). Iola will be sadly missed by all of her many friends and relatives. The family will receive friends at the DODS & McNAIR FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 21 First St., Orangeville on Wednesday, July 29th, 2009 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, July 30th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment Alton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Dufferin Oaks Nursing Home, Abiding Place Ministries, or a charity of choice. In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
