David Alan Selby

SELBY, David Alan (MD, FRCPC) - On August 22nd at the age of 79, Dr. David Alan Selby passed away surrounded by his family. Alan will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 57 years Pat, cherished children Diane and Garnet (Maley), Michael and Wendy, Trish, Carol, Alan and Kristen, precious grandchildren Laura, David, Robbie, Ryan, Xiao Yan and Katie, spirited brother Henry, caring sister Mary, helpful housekeeper Susan, thoughtful nieces and nephews, and loyal companions Noel, Puff and Coco. In September, a memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of this accomplished physician, award winning philatelist, commissioned naval officer, avid historian, lively Kappa Alpha, excommunicated UCCer, published author, dog and music lover, born and bred Torontonian, reluctant Muskoka taxpayer, inspiring mentor, wise teacher, record holding sprinter, creative storyteller, bridge enthusiast, technology explorer, eloquent speaker and most importantly, devoted and loving family man.
