I never had the opportunity to meet Mister Carlson. His role in "Black Christmas" is forever noteworthy. As I'm sure his role in life was. Rest In Peace Mister Carlson.

I remember Les as a truly kind and sweet man. We were friends and neighbours briefly for a few short years back in the ninteen eighties. We also acted together at the Tarragon. I regret that I am just getting this news of his passing....I regret that we lost touch eventually...the last time we were together we had spent a morning golfing together...he was happy. He was a good and gracious soul. Rest in peace and flights of angel sing thee...

I knew Les for well over 40 years. I admired his work as an exceptionally fine actor for all of those years. We had not seen much of each other in the recent past but he remained a friend and very much a part of my life. He will be missed not only by family & friends but also to audiences to whom he gave great pleasure.

I had the pleasure of directing Les in the docu-drama "A Path of His Own" in 1978. Les played Canadian painter David Milne. He had to undergo 2-3 hours of makeup every day -- shaved head, layers of latex to age him, etc. He was great fun to work with and nailed the part perfectly. I've uploaded some pix from the film. My condolences to his family.

I am so sad to hear of Les's passing. We acted together in the first season at Tarragon - what a sweet, generous, talented man.

I am sad to lose such a wonderful colleague and friend. We did several shows together and had such a fantastic creative and personal time. My condolences to the family and fellow friends. It is so wonderful that Ben carries on the Carlson torch. Ave atque vale, Les.

What a terrific man, actor! Funny and helpful to younger actors . Thinking of all of the family with love at this time xo
