It is a sad time in the digital and running world. Jim, the eminent champion, has passed the baton to the next generation of programmers, digital architects, history buffs, car collectors and marathon runners. Your infinite energy, ingenuity and enthusiasm will be missed.

Remember the day Jim started at IBM/Celstica, discovered he had pet ferrets, and watched his successful rise through the company until I left. His strength, courage and determination through the adversity he had to experience, is to be greatly admired... May your soul rest in Peace, Jim. ~

Jim was the heart and soul of our running community. I was privileged to have him as clinic leader in my first marathon clinic. Jim's love of running was infectious. His commitment to running even as he faced adversity head on will always inspire me. Whenever I hit 38k and I feel like I just can't go on, all I have to do is say to myself: "What would Jim do". You leave a big hole my friend, but a lasting legacy.
