Irene Violet Pearce

PEARCE, Irene Violet - Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Halton Hills on Friday, February 12, 2010 in her 87th year. Irene was born in England and came to Canada in 1957 with her husband Jack and children Jennifer and Roger. They settled in Port Credit. After years of raising a family, Irene found her independence, moved to Streetsville and co-founded the Streetsville Cheshire Home, where she was the administrator for 27 years. During this time, she was the recipient of the Helen Keller Award and the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. Much loved mother of Jennifer (Bob Wells) and Robert, grandmother of Penny (Brian Agnew), Wendy and Erika and great-grandmother of Johnathan and Michael. She will be missed by all. Friends may visit at the McKERSIE-KOCHER FUNERAL HOME, 114 Main St., Milton, 905-878-4452, on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m., followed by a reception at the funeral home.
