So sorry to hear of Derek's passing. I met him at the clubhouse in the 1970's and dropped in to see him numerous times.
He gave me a lead on a 1933 Ford coupe he knew about for sale. My wife and I moved to San Diego in 1985 but dropped in to see him when I was back in town. Great guy and true craftsman. My condolences to all the family, fellow club members and friends.

My deepest sympathies go out to Duke's family. I met him many years ago, when I was on the board of directors of the Canadian Street Rod Association. The quality of workmanship of the cars he built was always outstanding. Several years ago, I surprised him at a swap meet in Mississauga by giving him a photo of his Model A coupe on the weigh scales at old Kohler Dragway, back in 1961. Duke's legacy in Canadian hot rodding will never be forgotten.

Sharon and Tony.
It is with great sadness that Joan and I learned of the passing of Duke. Here was a man who was a great icon and leader in the world of hot rods and custom cars. So many great memories, the design, build, and assistance with every type of street machine or modified car out there, and not to forget the Brothers Brown Fiat. He also took the time to be President of the Roadmates for EVER. The list of friends and accomplishments is endless. We will never forget you, Derek (Duke) Brown.

Dear Sharon, Tony, family and friends, We are so sad to hear that Duke has passed. I judged many a car show with Duke and he was always a great guy to hang around with on those 3-4 day stretches. So many beers, so many stories, so many beers and so many more stories! Those were great weekends with a great friend. He's up there oiling the pearly gates so they'll be working fine when we go to meet him again. And Duke, I promise I won't bring you any Harpoon Ale - although maybe they make it more to your liking up there! Rest in Peace Buddy. Dennis & Sue O'Brien
