BRANS, Alan - Alan sailed away on January 17, 2013 from Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. He was a respected and admired leader in the information technology sector, a world traveller, trusted advisor, passionate follower of Formula One racing, vintage aircraft rider, model train enthusiast, soccer coach, rugby and tennis player, sailor, bridge expert, fan of the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton, skilled photographer and connoisseur of great food and fine wine. Alan was a a member of the Bronte Harbour Yacht Club and could be found spending time with one of his other loves, his sailboat JuJube. He was a valued friend, Sandra's treasured partner and soul mate, proud father of Louise (Ryan) and Alexander (Michelle), delighted grandfather of Nathan, Isabella and Emma. His generosity, kindness, decency, compassion and sense of humour embraced a huge circle of family and friends in many countries. His was a life fulfilled to the max but was heartbreakingly cut short after a valiant battle with cancer.
