ALICE CHANG-KUE May 6, 1925 - August 13, 2014 Alice passed away peacefully at Scarborough General with family in attendance. Predeceased by her husband Raymond (2013), daughter Doreen (2011), brother-in-law Dennis (1991) and sister-in-law Lorraine (2013). She will be missed by her son Ken (Tiiu) Chang-Kue and son-in-law Wesley Lore. She was proud of her 5 grandchildren: Kevin (Tahrana) and Karin Chang- Kue; Cameron, Jason and Kollin Lore and great-grandson Calvin Chang-Kue. She will be remembered by her brothers-in-law Victor (Pam) Chang-Kue and Jordan Kan; sister Edie (Patrick) Lew and brother Lok (Violet) Archer; also many nieces, nephews and family friends. Born in South Africa, Alice and her husband immigrated in 1961 with their 2 children to enjoy a fulfilling work and family life in Canada. She was a most devoted wife to her late husband for 69 years. Alice was a strong and fiercely independent woman who fully tackled adult education courses to enhance language, data entry and computer skills to meet the evolving demands of her career at Simpsons and The Bay. Her recreation time was occupied with swimming, aerobics and tennis. Tennis was her greatest passion and she played at Mayfair Clubs right up to May 2013 (at age 88 years). Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home Scarborough Chapel (2900 Kingston Road, Scarborough, ON), on Monday, August 25th at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens (2700 Kingston Road, Scarborough, ON).
