TRAVERS, Bernard Vincent - 1926 - 2013 After a brief illness Bernard passed away peacefully on March 4, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy, who he missed so, who he is now reunited with. Cherished father of sons Kevin (Lynne) and Paul, grandfather of Krystle (Steve Policciardi), Vince, Tyler (Tasha), Ryan and great-grandfather of Alyseya and Eva. Bernard will be missed by his friends and neighbours at home and the cottage, his curling friends and acquaintances from home and abroad (Bolton Golf and Country Club, the Board of Trade Country Club and Humber Highlands Curling Club), his business and work associates (United Paper Mills, Whyte Hook Papers and Inter-City Papers) and his Navy pals. Special thanks go out to all the doctors and nurses, (Alex Crystal, Cass, Nolan, Dorothy, Leeza, Sam, Shasha) and all the others at St. Michael's CCU who tried their hardest to keep Bern with us. An additional thanks to Dr. Harvey Pasternak, who stopped in to see Bern every week at his home. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. (between Islington and Kipling), from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 for Memorial Visitation. If desired, remembrances may be made to St. Michael's Hospital.
