CATHERINE CONNOR (nee GOMME) Peacefully at home with her family on July 27, 2010. Loving daughter of Alma and Russell Gomme and sister of Barbara Gomme. Caring and hilarious mother of Jenn, Cyndie and Geoff Connor. Best friend of Casey, Gracie, Telly, Loki and Malibu. Cathy grew up in Scarborough, ON and graduated from Scarborough General Hospital School of Nursing and University of Toronto with her BScN. Cathy was an exceptional Nurse who showed dedication, compassion, loyalty and humour to all those who were fortunate enough to know her loving touch. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Carol Bellefontaine of VON, Diane Utter and friends at the SE-CCAC, Dr. Katherine Allen, Dr. Levesque, the wonderful nurses of the BGH Oncology Clinic and volunteer Marilyn Wright, our Red Cross workers (especially Bev and Amanda), the caring hospice volunteers Joyce and Carolyn, Tiffany Struthers and our cheering squad of Sienna and Emerson, our special care from Pat at Medigas and of course a very special thanks to Mary Duncan -- the best friend our mother could ever have asked for. Arrangements entrusted to the BURKE FUNERAL HOME, 150 Church St., Belleville (613-968-6968). A celebration of life will be held at Windswept on the Trent, Hastings, ON on August 7, 2010. Please no black, this is a cottage attire event! Flowers may be sent day of celebration to the cottage. Please email cathys.celebration. for information and directions. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the BGH Oncology Clinic, or the Three Oaks Foundation. GO LEAFS GO!
