CATHERINE ELIZABETH PASZT (nee CARR) Peacefully, at the Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, on February 11, 2013, Catherine Paszt (nee Carr), at the age of 45, with her loving husband of 20 years, Brent, by her side. Cherished and devoted mother of Brianna and Mikayla. Much loved daughter of William and Rosemary Carr and daughter-in-law of Fran and the late Eugen Paszt, all of Burlington. Predeceased by her grandparents Ada and William Carr, Emma and Russell Cole of Toronto and her Oma, Anna Paszt, of Germany. Loving sister of David Carr and his wife Michelle of Port Sydney, Gordon Carr and his wife Dawna of Georgetown and sister-in-law of Craig and Kelly Paszt of Burlington. Special aunt to Christie and Billy, Ryan, Matthew and Kelsey and to Aidan and Erin. She will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins in Canada, the United States and Germany. Cathy was a longtime Senior Graphics Operator at TSN and was proud to live her Olympic dream as part of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics Broadcast Team. She was a longtime member of the Burlington Teen Tour Band where she travelled the world as a Section Leader and Drum Major. Special thanks to Kathy, Shona, Martin, Wendy, Mary, Heather, Kerry, Kim, Kathleen, Susan and the rest of the wonderful staff at The Carpenter Hospice, Lee, Barb, Joy, Bliss, Marjan, Maddie and everyone at the JBMH Cancer Clinic and the Juravinski Cancer Centre for your compassionate care. A special thank you to Dr. Grzeslo, Dr. Phillips, Dr. Lelievre, Dr. Strang, Dr. Prodger and Dr. Grantham. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph line (one stoplight north of QEW) Burlington (905-632-3333) on Wednesday, February 13th from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, February 14th, 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Port Nelson United Church, 3132 South Drive, Burlington, on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. If desired, memorial donations to The Carpenter Hospice or the Burlington Teen Tour Band would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
