CATHERINE MARY O'FLAHERTY (nee DeLORY) Passed away peacefully on Easter Monday, in her 96th year at Eatonville Care Centre after a very full and wonderful life. She was simply "Kay" to her beloved John, loving mom to nine and those they love, Pat (Ian Huffman), Sharon, John (Sheila), Bill (Patti), Gerry (Mary), Mike (Diana), Terence, Maryanne (Todd Mason) and her special son, Paul, "Mom O" to many more, Nanny to 21, Great-Nanny to 19+ and Great- Great-Nanny to 8. Born on June 1, 1918 to Grace Marie Jones and John James DeLory, Catherine, predeceased by the love of her life, John, her sisters, Helen Tumpane, Olive Barben and Betty Hill and her dear brother Jack, is survived by her brothers, Wilfred and Val and her sister-in-law, Margaret, Sister Wilfreda of the Loretto Sisters. Kay was a founding member of St. Gregory's Parish, a great supporter of the CWL, a prolific contest winner, fun loving card player, who enjoyed bingo nights at Holy Angels and days at the slots with her boys. Her beautiful smile made everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. Her inner strength and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She has joined "Peanuts", her soul mate since their youth, in heaven and is now serving tea and toast or grilled cheeses to the angels, asking them if they need anything. Many thanks to the care workers on the 4th floor at Eatonville Care Centre.
