Charles Duhig Obituary

DUHIG, Charles Michael - With great sadness we regret to announce the passing of Charles Michael Duhig on January 9, 2010 at his home in Orillia. His last days were spent with his loving family by his side: wife Charlene Duhig (Marshall); sons Mitchell and Marshall; parents Peggy and Clair; brother David (Yvonne) of Whitby; sister Karen McCullough (Tom) of Toronto and sister Lisa Duhig (Scott Hewitt) of Richmond Hill; and nephews and nieces John and Janet Duhig and Kate and Ben McCullough. Michael was born on April 21, 1953. He will always be remembered for his kindness to others, his quick wit and outgoing personality, and most of all his love for his wife Charlene and his sons Mitchell and Marshall. As he expressly wished, there will be no funeral. Later in the spring there will be a celebration of his life at the Orillia Branch of the Army, Navy and Air Force Club for all his friends and family. Those who wish to express their condolences may do so through a donation to the charity of their choice. The family wishes to thank Dr. Wm. Tillman, the nurses and the Red Cross for their compassionate care in the last weeks of Michael's life. Michael will be dearly missed.

My sincere condolences to Mike's family and friends. Through mutual friends I have followed, with sadness, the progress of Mike's declining health. Almost 30 years ago Mike was my first friend and business associate when I moved to Toronto. Mike will be remembered fondly by many for his kindness to others and his love of life.

My sincerest condolences to Michael's family. Mike bought a cottage near our house at Longford Mills in the 1970's, and my brother (Dave), sister (Cathy) and I really enjoyed his companionship and zest for life. Mike was the DJ at my wedding. He will be truly missed.
