There are some people with whom you have crossed paths in the past you will always remember because of the greatness of their spirit .
Chris Trull was one of those great spirits .
I lived with Chris at the Saugeen-Maitland Residence on the campus of U.W.O. where he was a floor senior . Chris was the go-to guy for any of the residents who needed advice or counsel .
I would hang out with Chris and witness first-hand how he strove to resolve people's issues .
In those days at " The Zoo " , many of the issues which were brought to Chris' attention were quite heady to say the least . I could not help but observe that my friend was an adept listener and that helped to solve half of the problem . He was always able to come up with at least one solution for the resident . The proctor loved him because of his effectiveness and , of course , because of his charming personality . I will never forget the times when we took a break from life and from reading just to play some football on the soccer pitch . Chris was and still is a great spirit and I know that his spirit is at peace in the next world . Peace be with you , brother . Miles .

Dear Mrs. Trull and Dylan-
Please accept our deepest sympathies for your beloved husband and father. We primarily worked with Chris in a professional capacity, but we all very much enjoyed him on a personal level. His dedication and love for his family shined through whenever he spoke of the two of you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Warmest Regards-

Cathy and Dylan,
Words can never do justice to the loss of this big man and friend. The turnout Tuesday night and at the service Wednesday spoke volumes though and came close. Chris knew who his friends were and obviously made new ones at every turn. He kept in touch over the years in a way we should all emulate. The conversation always came around to his family and the latest updates on the two of you, and the pride came through the phone as clearly as the big laugh. He is already missed by all but the memories will live on forever. I would be honored and grateful to help out in any way I can as you both adjust.

Hello Cathy and family
I feel very sad to learn of the passing of Chris. I saw the notice in The Burlington Post yesterday.
You do not know who I am, but I remember when Chris was born to Joyce and Ray Trull. Your brothers-in-law Bob and Roger but particularyly, Jim will remember me from our days in Byron.
I was also sorry to learn that both Ray and Joyce have passed away as well. I owe a deep debt of gratitude to Joyce for all the extra work she did with me back in Byron to get me back into Byron Northview Public School and keep me from quitting school.
I do not know where I would be today without her help even though she had the boys and Chris to take care of. Jim and I played hockey together in Byron and attended Westminster Secondary.
Again, I am very said to learn of the passing of Chris at such a young age.

My heart goes out to the entire Trull family as I was shocked to hear this very sad news yesterday. I was lucky enough to get to know the Trull family after teaching and then tutoring Dylan. It didn't take long to see what a great family they are and how much Chris thought of them and how much they loved him back. I know Chris was very proud of Dylan and how he has grown over the few past years.
May the many great memories filled with laughter and love help you now and in the future.
Thinking of you both Dylan and Cathy during this very tough time.

Impossible, Irreplaceable.
Chris would give you the shirt off his back , and did many times to me and many others.
Stuck up for the underdog and "took it" to the badguys.
Never shyed away for standing up for what he believed in and at the same time had your back. Even when you didn't deserve his support.
I saw him reach out to complete strangers many times.
No wonder he has so many friends and loved ones.
Whether on the dock, on the golf course, at a party or some road trip Chris would state "It doesn't get any better than this"
Matty called me Friday morning and by the time I saw Chris in the afternoon he fought his way to look me square in the eye and tell me that he "just wanted to go home to his family"
Told it straight , just as he always did. Take it or leave it.
The laugh was huge to match the heart. He loved his family and always told me how proud he was of Dylan.
A true Individual , a true Warrior and a True Friend.

"Moose" lived 2 doors from us all through high school, and frequeetnly joined us for dinner (at my mom's insistence!). Looked forward to after school football together all through the fall, and street hockey through the winter. Loved his laugh. Loved him.

My favourite memory of Chris would be from 12 years ago when we were lucky enough to join Cathy, Chris and Dylan at their family cottage. Chris took us all out on the boat including Hailey and I have a picture of Chris driving the boat with Dylan on his lap and my daughter, Laurel standing on the seat behind Chris with a great smile on her face. Even though I haven't seen Chris in a long time his laugh was truly unforgettable and he was larger than life which is the way I will remember him.

An enduring memory for us will be the laughter we shared during our St. Patrick's Day dinner party this past March. Chris' wonderfully distinctive laugh rang out as Bruce launched into his 'Father Murphy' Irish accent - it was such a pleasure to be embraced by such warmth. We will miss Chris with all our heart. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Cathy and Dylan and all the family. Love, Sheelagh and Bruce
