TAYLOR, Dickson - Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre on February 18, 2013 at 88 years of age. Dearly beloved husband of the previously deceased Marie (nee Niosi) for 66 years and much loved father of Elizabeth and her husband Hokan and son Paul (deceased). Grandfather of beloved Christina and Krystle. Great-grandfather of Olivia, who he was never able to meet. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Marjorie Smeaton, Lavoynne Jackson and previously deceased sister Noreen Taylor. The son of an United Church Minister, a Veteran of World War II, Dickson was raised in Western Ontario. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario and the Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. Dickson was dedicated to his work with the Government of Ontario. He retired in 1983 as Director of Probation and Parole in Ontario. The family wish to thank Dr. N. Kalyniuk, the staff, and nurses at Amica Newmarket for their compassionate care. A celebration of his life will be held for family and friends at Amica, 275 Doak Lane, Newmarket, ON L3Y 0A2 on April 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Hope For Others Campaign, The Salvation Army, 415 Pickering Cres., Newmarket, ON L3Y 8G8 would be greatly appreciated or a charity of your choice.
