DOROTHEA WINIFRED (LAKE) TODD September 29, 1912 - November 4, 2012 Taking her final steps with dignity and grace, Dort slipped peacefully into the arms of God on Sunday. A grand lady, who was overjoyed to celebrate her 100th birthday, she is lovingly remembered by her daughter Dorothy-Jean, and her husband Ted Byers, and her grandchildren: Todd and his wife Miranda, Imogen and her fiancé Jing, and Philip. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, "Pete", in 1984. Dorothea, a graduate of the Toronto General Hospital School for Nurses and the University of Toronto, was a passionate supporter of educational opportunities for women. A Service to Celebrate her Life will be held at St. Hilary's Anglican Church, 2055 Hurontario Street, on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 1 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 905-279-7663.
