HUNTER, Eileen Beatrice - From Trenton, Ontario died peacefully at Belleville General Hospital on December 22, 2012 at age 87. Beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Hunter. Will be sadly missed by children Heather (Les), the late Holly E. Hunter and the late Harvey Hunter. Loving grandmother to Shannon Strickland (Tony), MCpl Kevin Conquergood (Carey) and Sean Hunter (Jessica). Loved by her great-grandaughters, Morgan, Marissa, Amanda, Emily and Brogan Predeceased by her parents John Jennings and Rose Flood. Sister to Sheila Harris (John) and the late Martha Freeman. Will be missed by nieces and nephews, Teresa, Rosemarie, Bill, Pat, Ed, Christa, Richard, Wayne and Pauline She will also be missed by her "family" at Billy Bowmans Camp, a place where she was truly happy. Was a LAW in the RCAF from 1941-1944, she was very proud of her short career in the military. She worked as a Switchboard/ Receptionist at A.C. Leslie Co. for many years and then as a Property Manager at Birchmount Place for many years. Despite a handicap Eileen worked hard, never gave up and also never complained about what she didn't have. She took up camping for the first time at age 76 and loved it, looked forward to going to her trailer every spring. It kept her young and gave her something to look forward to. She lived to go to her trailer. Visitation will be held at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough (east of Kennedy Rd.) on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Ogden Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to Belleville Sills Rehab Centre or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation would be appreciated.
