Elizabeth Grice Obituary

ELIZABETH ANNE GRICE (nee CRAWFORD) Peacefully, on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Credit Valley Hospital, at the age of 70. Predeceased by her parents Sam and Margaret Crawford, her first husband Michael Diss, her son David Prouse and his wife Heather Spry-Prouse. Devoted and loving mother to Barb Prouse and her husband Lee Thistle, Steven Diss and his wife Marilyn Smith, Geoffrey Diss, Kristy Prouse and her husband Patrick Higgins. Adored Grammy and Grandma to Jennifer McKay, Carolyn Prouse, Suzanne Prouse, Tristan Higgins and Sarah Higgins. Beloved mother-in-law to Christine James and her husband Sandy Renne. Anne will be lovingly remembered by her many, many friends and family. She was a former teacher, member of the Immigration and Refugee Board, Executive Assistant to former MP Dr. Robert Horner and former MPP John Snobelen, recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow, Streetsville Rotary Club. Devoted and active member of Bethesda United Church, Applewood United Church and the United Church of Canada. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Applewood United Church, 2067 Stanfield Rd., Mississauga on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 3 p.m. If desired, remembrances may be made to Applewood United Church or The DAM, www.thedam.org (Youth Services Organization)

Sending my deepest sympathy and condolences to the entire family. I was very blessed to have had known her and gotten many countless and very valuable priceless advice and wisdom from her. I know that she will live on in her children, grandchildren and all of us who lives she has enriched.

It is with the deepest of regret that I learn of Anne's death. She was a tremendous and caring person. I will always treasure our stories of France and her support of my politcal aspirations. She will be missed and remembered with fondness.
