Dear Rossana & Family,
I am very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of befriending Gabe at Downsview Secondary in the late sixties. We were good friends, went to the Quebec Winter Carnival together in '69 and even double-dated once in high school. Unfortunately I lost touch with Gabe when I went to University out of town. Gabe was always a pleasure to be with and we shared many amusing moments. I still have a couple of photos of Gabe taken in Quebec City in 1969. Dear Rossana and family,
I had the pleasure of meeting Gabe at York University. Along with many other students we would meet at Central Square in between classes and share stories of what the future held for us. Gabe was always positive, supportive, and compassionate about others. His friendship with others was also first and foremost. I worked alongside your brother-in-law, Joseph, both of us young teachers and we were always impressed by Gabe's business sense and adventurous take on doing new things and meeting challenges. He will be missed by our community.

Hello Rossano, my name is Gisella. In the late 90's, when I worked at Renate's Fashion Boutique in Hillcrest Mall,we spent many hours discussing your upcoming functions and events as you worked hard and tirelessly to build your business and of course you needed to look just right. It was a great story to follow as you & your husband created, worked for and achieved the "dream" -truly in good times and in bad. Now I offer my heartfelt condolences for this great loss in your life. No words are adequate, however I feel the hardest thing to live without is memories and the hardest thing to live with is regret. My personal experiences tells me this is the legacy of our loved ones to remember the first and forget te second. May you be well- bye.

I offer my condolences.
I have followed you and Gabe's business adventures since the mid 80's when I bought wine juice from your Festa Juice business in the plaza on Highway # 7 near Keele.
Having worked with CN Rail at MacMillan Yard for many years, your first and second & third(?) locations were always close by for more purchasers over the subsequent 25 years.
I also followed with great interest the Magnottas' legal wranglings with Ontario's LCBO. Gabe was, and still is, the 'White Knight' for all those whom benefit from any distribution improvemnts that may creep into this aged Provincial Monopoply.
I trust, if the Legistlature ever passes a writ to privatize the distribution and sale of wine in the Province of Ontario... that someone may proffer this as 'Gabriele's Law'.

My deepest sympathies to all the family on your immense loss. I did not ever have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Magnotta, but have always enjoyed his stellar wines and respected his success.
I, for one, was unaware of the prevalence and devastation caused by Lyme Disease and I am so saddened to learn that this disease took Mr. Magnotta from us. I will take every opportunity to raise awareness of the Lyme Foundation and encourage others to join the fight.

To the Magnotta Family our deepest condolences. I was most proud to produce the very first advertising brochure for the winery and became a client. I met Gabe a few years later at the Woodbridge location, a truly fine gentleman he was.
On informing my family of his passing this evening my son in law informed me that he played soccer with his son and Magnotta sponsored their soccer team. Again, another connection.

I was saddened to learn of your husband's passing.
I met you in 2004 and was so greatful for your generosity in sponsoring the event I held at a convention in Niagara Falls.
I never forgot this and made a point of giving the wine that I had left as gifts to many friends and family. Wine is a gift to be shared which is easy to do when the wine is as great as those Magnotta produces.

We have been customers of Magnotta since the summer of 1991 when, on the advice of friends, we purchased the wine for our daughter's wedding. Rosanna served us at the wine tasting bar to help us select the wines. At the time the store was on the site of the farm where my husband was born. It was a bit nostalgic. We have been Magnotta customers ever since as are many of our friends and relatives. Gabe will be truly missed.

I met Gabe at Rose's Billiards when he came to see his friend Tony Rose in 1974. I only met Gabe once at the Fund raising golf tourney 3 years ago.When I had found out about his disease my Family raised money for the Lyme Foundation later that summer during our anual backyard party.I just read about his death today in the Star.

I did not know Gabriele personally but from myself and my 2 children who are also Lyme Disease sufferers we want to wish his friends and family and all that knew him our heartfelt thoughts at this time. I cared very much for Gabe. He was an inspiration and a joy when I was around him. My trips to Magnotta were always highlighted by his presence. I missed him when he was ill and will now miss him that he has passed.
