I met Gladys while working at the East York Civic Centre for Parks and Recreation. She was such an inspiration to me for her vitality, attitude and strength. Always a big smile, a kind word and a good laugh. Gladys was one of a kind and will be sadly missed. My sincere condolences go out to the family.

I would like to thank everyone who was able to attend the funeral of Gladys Ovenell. It was then that I truly realized just how many lives she touched.

MaryAnne - We're deeply sorry for your loss. We only meet your grandmother a few times but she made such a lasting impression on us both. She truly seemed to live life to its fullest, a great example for all of us. She was a very special lady who was blessed with a great family.

My condolences to your family. I remember Gladys well from our days volunteering at East General where she was such a willing helper. She was always so young in spirit. My sympathies again.

We are so sorry to hear about Gladys. She trained my wife Marilynn and I at Toronto East General Hospital and she was 96 years at that time. She will be greatly missed.
