HELEN KNAGGS Peacefully at the Allendale Long Term Care in Milton, on Monday, February 4, 2013. Helen Margaret Knaggs (nee Hepburn) of Milton and formerly of Owen Sound, at the age of 94 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Jack Knaggs (1992). Loving mother of John "Hep" Knaggs and his wife, Ruth, of Mississauga, William Knaggs and his wife, Anna, of Hillsdale and Garth Knaggs, of Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Chris (Carolyn), Amanda (Marc), Kaitlin (Michael) and Brendan and great-grandmother of Andrew, Benjamin, Cole, Emma, Addison and Cameron. Predeceased by her parents, William and Agnes Hepburn; her sisters, Melba Cameron and Frances Graham; her brothers, Elgin, Howard and Maitland Hepburn. In her youth, Helen was a great softball player with the Owen Sound Wawanekas - playing was one of the joys of her early life. Helen enjoyed working at the Bank of Nova Scotia for many years. When they moved out of Toronto, Helen and Jack loved to have the grandchildren visit at the cottage in Innismore Twp. on Lower Buckhorn Lake. The entire family has wonderful memories of Helen's life to share. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses, staff and volunteers at Allendale for their kindness and care of Helen over the last few years. A Funeral Service for Helen Knaggs will be held in the Chapel of the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 - 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Shearman officiating.
